Get to know Lars
Lars has been working as a Marketeer at TransHeroes since 2020 and focuses on everything that helps make TransHeroes even more visible. This includes websites, campaigns and everything that comes with them. However, his workday doesn't always follow a strict marketing schedule. Sometimes his role suddenly changes from marketeer to IT support because a colleague needs help with a technical issue. It's precisely this combination that makes his work so varied: creatively building the TransHeroes brand while also providing practical solutions when technical problems need to be solved.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
What I enjoy most about my work is the variety between the different aspects of marketing. One moment I'm working on websites, campaigns or online visibility, and the next something completely different comes up. I also enjoy taking on IT tasks from time to time and helping colleagues when something technical isn't quite working as it should. The atmosphere within the marketing team and the collaboration with all my other colleagues also make the work enjoyable and familiar to me.
How would your colleagues describe you?
I think, and hope, that my colleagues would describe me as a friendly and calm person who enjoys helping others. I think it's important to contribute ideas and help colleagues wherever I can. I've also been told a few times that I sometimes put others ahead of my own priorities a little too quickly. I can see that, but ultimately, it's mainly because I enjoy helping others.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy running and doing fun things with friends. I also love going on holiday. Every year, we go skiing in Ischgl with a large group, so winter sports are definitely something I look forward to. I also really enjoy summer holidays, as long as they don't involve sightseeing in 30-degree heat. Relaxing on the beach is much more my style! Besides that, I also enjoy a quiet evening at home watching a good series or movie. That combination of staying active, going on holiday and relaxing suits me really well.
What's something people might not know about you?
Something people might not know about me is that I'm very interested in investing in stocks and crypto. I enjoy learning more about it and keeping up with certain developments. What I find particularly interesting is taking some calculated risks in the hope of achieving good returns. Of course, it's always a bit exciting, but that's exactly what makes it so enjoyable. Maybe that also has something to do with the fact that I've often said I don't want to keep working until I'm 65, haha!
