Get to know Suzanne
Suzanne handles customs-related tasks at TransHeroes. She particularly enjoys taking the burden off customers and making sure everything is properly arranged. Her colleagues know her as calm and reliable, although those who work with her every day have also discovered that she can be quite extroverted. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys reading thrillers, regularly attends concerts and festivals, and loves letting loose to her favourite metal bands. She also enjoys gardening, exploring new cities and countries, and has a great love for England. Who knows, maybe one day she'll be living in a cottage in the English countryside.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The customer service aspect! I enjoy taking the burden off people's shoulders and making them happy. The world of customs is complex, which means you learn something new every day, and that's what makes the work so interesting.
How would your colleagues describe you?
Most of my colleagues would describe me as calm and reliable. However, the colleagues who work with me every day have discovered that I can also be quite extroverted. I'm only like that when I feel comfortable, so that's a lovely compliment!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy reading books, especially thrillers. A few times a year, I also go to concerts and/or festivals, where I can really let loose to my favourite (metal) band. But I equally enjoy spending the whole day barefoot in the garden. I have green fingers and love taking care of everything. I also enjoy exploring new cities and countries, and I like going away for a weekend within the Netherlands too.
What's something people might not know about you?
That I would really love to live in England. Over the years, I've visited many times to see family and friends and to attend concerts. I've fallen in love with the landscape, the historic charm, the people and, of course, the accent. So who knows, maybe one day I'll move to a beautiful cottage in the English countryside.
